3 Quick Ways to Love Yourself Better

Oftentimes we get so caught up in our life that we get into the habit of putting others before ourselves and forget about our own needs.

Sooner or later, this can manifest in many ways, such as self-doubt, feeling less than or even illness if left to continue.

While it’s great to give attention to others, it’s also necessary to pay attention to our own thoughts, feelings and basic needs to. So, don’t neglect yourself because you need love too.

To give you a helping hand, here are 3 quick ways to love yourself better:

1. Quit the negative self-talk

Let go of saying bad things about yourself, both in your head and out loud. That kind of negative self-talk is not good for anyone and if it continues, it could become a negative habit that leads you to self-destruct.

Instead; replace any negative words or phrases about yourself with caring, loving thoughts and words that big you up and make you feel good about yourself.

2. Make time for rest and reflection

Make time for rest and reflection

You are not a robot, and you don’t have to be switched on constantly. Allowing yourself some time off once in a while will help you recharge and reflect. It’s okay to have some downtime when you aren’t doing anything in particular and you are simply ‘being’.

3.  Enjoy yourself

Enjoy Yourself

Take some time out to do the things you enjoy. It could be walking, dancing, playing crazy golf or relaxing watching your favourite TV show. When you make it a priority to have more fun in your life, your creative receptors will open up, helping you discover ways to have even more fun and feel even better about yourself and your life.

It’s easy to forget about the all the wonderful things about you, it’s always nice to get a reminder now and then, to kickstart your life and help you remember that it’s okay to love yourself, in fact it’s a God-given right. When you love yourself, it becomes easier to love others. So go on, love yourself better.
